Jinhua authorities formed a delegation comprising 62 companies to attend the 3rd China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, on May 16.
The 62 enterprises showcased products such as stationery, gifts, household supplies, and kitchen appliances at the fair in a bid to promote their products to Central-Eastern Europe customers.
"This is our first time taking part in the fair. We hope to take this chance to learn about the needs of CEE customers. We will invest more to develop new products and expand into new markets," said Geng Mengyan from Lanxi Lehui Art Supply Co.
An exhibition area was set up at the fair where branded products were showcased in the forms of pictures, in-kinds, videos, and live streams. A dozen Jinhua-made products, such as Shouxiangu ganoderma lucidum spore powder and leatherware, were displayed and attracted the attention of numerous visitors.
CEE is one of Jinhua's major export markets. In 2022, the city's imports and exports to CEE countries totaled 25.55 billion yuan ($3.64 billion), a year-on-year increase of 22.6 percent. The amount in the first quarter of 2023 was 7.74 billion yuan ($1.1 billion), an increase of 43.3 percent over last year.
