The 2nd Wucheng development conference was held in Wucheng district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, from April 30 to May 1.
More than 570 outstanding Wucheng natives living at home and abroad attended the event.
Fourteen projects with a combined investment of 16.17 billion yuan ($2.29 billion) were secured at the conference, focusing on fields such as auto spare parts, hardware, digital economy, healthcare, new energy, and new material. They are expected to inject additional vitality into the district's high-quality development, said local authorities.
Participants expressed their confidence in Wucheng's development. Ying Hua, who has invested in a three-dimensional printing project in the district, said he would help recommend more advanced technologies and talented individuals to boost the district's manufacturing industry.
Wucheng's economy has seen rapid development in recent years. Its GDP in the first quarter of 2023 was 8.6 billion yuan ($1.22 billion), an increase of 4.2 percent, while as of this April, the number of market entities in the district exceeded 60,000.
