Zhu Chonglie, Party secretary of Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province, met with the Governor of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan Darhan Satbaled on May 5.
Zhu outlined Jinhua's economic and social development during the meeting. He said that Jinhua has carried out fruitful cooperation with Kazakhstan in economic activity and trade, energy resources, agriculture and education.
Zhu added that he hopes both sides can expand trade cooperation and boost the development of cross-border e-commerce; deepen industrial cooperation and further improve coordination in technological innovation and talent training, and also strengthen cooperation in culture, tourism and education to help more Kazakhstan teenagers have a better understanding of Jinhua and China.
During the event, Satbaled gave high appraisals to Jinhua's economic and social progress in recent years, and outlined the economic situation of the Turkestan region. He said that China is an important partner of Kazakhstan in economic and trade cooperation. Kazakhstan responded to the Belt and Road Initiative by creating a favorable business environment to encourage Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in the region.
He added that the two sides have in recent years enjoyed increasingly close cooperation in economic matters and trade, and voiced his expectation that Jinhua and the Turkestan region will further expand economic cooperation, trade and cultural communication. He also warmly welcomed more Jinhua enterprises to invest in the region.
