The 3rd Jinhua Development Conference was held in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province on April 30.
Representatives of the scientific, educational, commercial and financial communities from home and abroad as well as outstanding native Jinhua graduates attended the event.
Qiu Qiwen, head of the United Front Work Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, noted at the conference that Jinhua has been helping pave the way to China's modernization and voiced his expectation that Jinhua will seize strategic opportunities to realize high-quality development.
Zhu Chonglie, Party secretary of Jinhua, said at the conference that Jinhua will leverage its cultural and natural resources and geographical location to attract more people to start businesses in the city.
A series of activities like appointing talent recruitment counselors, inaugurating the global investment attraction organization, unveiling the scientific and technological innovation center, and awarding prizes to those who have made contributions to Jinhua's social and economic development were also held at the opening ceremony.
