The 8th China Wuyi Fairy Tale Conference was held in Wuyi county in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province from April 8 to 9.
The children's culture and tourism industry fair was also hosted on the sidelines of the conference, during which a series of events such as project negotiations, product exhibitions, forums and study tours took place.
Fairy tale writers, editors, scholars, children's literature enthusiasts as well as exhibitors and purchasing agents from across the country attended the event.
Deals for five culture and tourism projects with a combined investment of 450 million yuan ($65.37 million) were inked at the opening ceremony.
The event also served as a platform to exhibit and sell children's culture and tourism products, which generated a tourism revenue of 10 million yuan that will be used to support rural vitalization and common prosperity efforts, said local authorities.
The county has released 11 fairy tale microfilms and 120 episodes of fairy tale radio dramas since 2015.
