Fifty communities in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, have been included in a provincial program aimed at building future communities, the Zhejiang Province Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced on March 29.
A total of 480 communities in the province were included in the program.
Of the 50 communities in Jinhua, Chetou community in Wucheng district will be rebuilt, while the rest will be renovated.
Future communities, which feature public facilities for governance, child care, senior care, and healthcare, are designed to improve people's well-being.
Authorities said they will strengthen efforts to build five-minute and 15-minute public services circles this year to aid its common prosperity drive.
The upgraded communities will satisfy needs for a better living environment, more convenient transportation, as well as more cultural and nursing facilities.
The city is currently home to 110 future communities.
