Two places in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province were recognized nationally for their efforts to develop local specialty industries, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on March 7.
Among them is Yuzhai township in Pujiang county, which has been tapping its natural resources to develop the leisure tourism sector.
Authorities of the township have in recent years been making efforts to nurture new businesses such as smart tourism, nighttime economy and study tours.
Xinwo subdistrict in Pan'an county is the other place that has in recent years been striving to develop its traditional Chinese medicinal materials industry.
The subdistrict is currently home to a 288,000-square-meter traditional Chinese medicinal materials town, where more than 90 percent of medicinal materials are exported to other countries.
