Ge Bingzao, a deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Jinfei Holding Group, shared the company's achievements on digital transformation after hearing the Government Work Report at the opening of the first session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing on March 5.

Ge commended the practical data and achievements presented in the report, adding that despite the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the international situation, China has made significant progress in maintaining a stable economy, improving people's livelihoods, and upgrading its industrial structure.

Ge brought nine suggestions to the NPC, including promoting the digital transformation of enterprises, supporting motorcycle consumption, relaxing restrictions on car modification markets, and strengthening financial support for the manufacturing industry.

As a private entrepreneur, Ge is particularly interested in promoting advanced manufacturing. He stated that traditional industries can improve productivity through digital transformation. For example, his company, Jinfei Holding Group, increased productivity per employee by 139 percent and decreased cost per unit output by 10 percent through digital transformation.

Ge also suggested that universities and the manufacturing industry should work more closely to overcome the shortage of innovative talent and technical staff in traditional manufacturing.
