The second session of the 8th Jinhua Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) commenced on Feb 7 at the Jinhua Great Hall of the People, local media outlets reported.
The three-day session will run from Feb 7 to 9, and members are set to review and summarize the work of the 8th CPPCC Jinhua Municipal Committee in 2022 and discuss work to be carried out by the CPPCC Jinhua Municipal Committee concerning tasks assigned by the Jinhua Municipal Party Committee.
In addition, they will attend the third session of the 8th Jinhua Municipal People's Congress as non-voting delegates and discuss the government work report, among other reports, and the city's economic and social development plan.
Zhu Chonglie, chairman of the 8th CPPCC Jinhua Municipal Committee, reviewed the committee's work over the past year.
Under the leadership of the Jinhua municipal Party committee, the CPPCC Jinhua committee focused on unity and democracy and made significant contributions to local economic development and maintaining social stability over the past year.
Zhu added that under the guidance of the central, provincial, and municipal governments, the CPPCC Jinhua committee will continue to play an important role in political consulting and help transform Jinhua into a strong and prosperous city featuring high-quality development.
