A business delegation of 52 business executives from 36 local enterprises in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, took a flight on Feb 2 to the United Kingdom.

The delegation will take part in the Spring Fair Birmingham, which is one of four major global consumer goods exhibitions and the UK's most vibrant marketplace for wholesale home, gift and fashion items.

Jinhua had a total of 72 exhibitors at the fair, ranking first in Zhejiang province.

Hu Junwei, director of Dongyang Gurui Commodity Co, has been busy traveling for business opportunities at international fairs around the world in recent days. Hu said that he will visit more enterprises and consumers after the Spring Fair in UK. After that, he plans to go to Qingdao in Shandong province to confirm production for orders in Thailand.

As an important measure to stabilize and strengthen foreign trade, Jinhua has arranged for various business delegations to go abroad to boost foreign investment. A total of 337 people and 227 enterprises achieved foreign investment intention agreements amounting to 3.65 billion yuan ($538.31 million) last December.

Officials from the local bureau of commerce noted that more such business delegations will go abroad from Jinhua in 2023. In the first quarter of the year, more than 1,000 local enterprises are expected to participate in more than 50 domestic and foreign trade fairs.
