Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province saw its foreign trade in goods grow by 16.3 percent year-on-year to 683.87 billion yuan ($100.83 billion) in 2022, according to local customs.

The city's exports rose by 11.8 percent year-on-year to 595.66 billion yuan, ranking second in the province. Its imports topped the province with 88.22 billion yuan in total, an increase of 59.4 percent year-on-year.

In 2022, Jinhua released a series of measures to improve exit-entry services and implemented a "white list" management system for the facilitation of entry and exit documents. A total of 1,856 enterprises in nine categories have been included in the list, which is upgraded regularly. Since June, the city has issued 1,491 business passports, 5.65 times more than last year.

Through cooperation, joint construction, and cultivation, Jinhua has established a service system covering 146 public overseas warehouses with a total area of 2.23 million square meters, 39 key export target markets of Jinhua and key areas in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

After being approved as a cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone, Jinhua took the opportunity to promote the upgrading of cross-border e-commerce parks. At present, the city has more than 160,000 various cross-border e-commerce accounts.

In December, Jinhua organized for a total of 227 enterprises and 337 people to go on business trips overseas, leading to prospective deals worth 3.65 billion yuan. It also brought back 564 foreign businessmen on four charted flights from Pakistan, India, and South Korea, bringing in $261 million in market purchase trade orders.
