Jinhua sees GDP rise 3.3% in Jan-Sept

Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province saw its gross domestic product grow 3.3 percent year-on-year in the first three quarters of 2022, hitting 402.51 billion yuan ($55.5 billion), according to local statistics authorities.

The growth rate is 0.2 percentage points higher than the province's average, thanks to stable economic development amid the COVID-19 epidemic.

Emerging industries showed significant growth. The high-tech industry, equipment manufacturing industry above designated size, digital economy and core manufacturing, and strategic emerging industries increased by 12.3 percent, 14.9 percent, 40. percent and 32.8 percent, respectively.

In the first three quarters of the year, the city's fixed asset investment, total retail sales of consumer goods, and foreign trade value increased by 13.8 percent, 3.2 percent and 21.3 percent year-on-year, respectively.

This year, the city has formulated and issued 36 policies and measures to promote the steady progress and improve the quality of the economy, aiming to maintain the growth of people's livelihood expenditures and the steady growth of residents' incomes.

From January to September, the overall per capita disposable income of all residents in Jinhua was 45,277 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.3 percent.
