The ninth Photovoltaic Polymer International Conference, or 2022 PPIC, convened in Pujiang county in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, on Oct 27.
The conference, which was sponsored by the Shanghai Solar Energy Society, the Zhejiang Solar Photovoltaic Industry Association, and lt.testpv.com, attracted 150-plus heavyweights in the photovoltaic field.
As the host city, Pujiang has in recent years been vigorously developing its photovoltaic advanced materials and equipment industry and is home to renowned photovoltaic materials companies such as Cybrid Technologies Inc, Zhejiang New Materials Co Ltd and Zhejiang Sinopont Technology Co Ltd.
Zhao Yonghong, secretary-general of the Zhejiang photovoltaic industry technology innovation strategic alliance, pointed out that Pujiang's move to develop a new material industry base by leveraging its geographical advantage next to Yiwu, which is known as the "world's supermarket", has broad development prospects and is in line with Zhejiang's goal of developing itself into a national innovation hub for new materials.
He added that the alliance will team up with Pujiang to build a photovoltaic new material industrial park and build a high-quality public service platform fueling the sector's development.
