Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, recently inaugurated a facility for scientific and technological innovation in Shanghai.
The facility, the first of its kind set up by Yongkang, will channel more innovation resources from Shanghai to Yongkang to boost the latter's hardware industry development. It is located in the core area of Zhangjiang Science City, Pudong New Area of Shanghai.
Yongkang aims to build a world-class hardware industrial cluster in the city in five years, and the innovation platform in Shanghai will accelerate the transformation of high-tech achievements, thus fueling the city's hardware industry development, noted experts.
According to a notice recently released by authorities, local high-tech companies whose development are in line with the city's industrial development path and can help boost industrial transformation and upgrading can apply to be a part of the facility.
