Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, has achieved impressive results in its expanding and improving its transportation network in recent years.

The Jianjin Expressway, starting from the north of Yangcunqiao town, Jiande city, and ending at the east of Erxian Bridge of Jinyi New District, Jinhua, provides a new way for people in Jinhua to travel to Hangzhou and Anhui province.

The Jianjin Expressway opened to traffic on Dec 22, 2020. The expressway provides a nearly straight-line shortcut from Jinhua Mountain, Jinyi New District to the Qiandao Lake scenic area in Hangzhou, greatly accelerating the integration of tourism between the two places to promote coordinated development. In addition, there are many scenic spots at or above the national 3A level, national beautiful rural areas, and famous historical and cultural towns along the expressway.

Thanks to the expressway, Huyan village in Jinhua's Chisong town, famous for the Mount Huyan Scenic area, has become a popular destination for people from surrounding cities and provinces interested in picking fruit such as cherries and grapes while spending time enjoying rural life.

The village received thousands of tourists over the past seven-day National Day holiday, most of whom came by car, according Wang Jilin, Party secretary of Huyan village.

"The expressway has brought great changes to our village," said Wang.

In addition, residents of Huyan village are now able to more easily go into town to shop and go to hospital. In the past, villagers needed to walk 3.5 kilometers to the next village.
