The torch relay for the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province came to an end in Jinhua's urban area - the last stop - on Sept 29.
A total of 139 torchbearers took part in the final torch relay route in the Jinhua urban area, passing eight spots including the Jinhua Culture Center, Liyu Road, Liyu Bridge, Duohu Central Business District, Dongshi Street, Hongji Bridge, Piaoping Road, East Wujiang Road, West Wujiang Road, and the Jinhua Railway Culture Park.
After arriving at the Jinhua Railway Culture Park, the flame was transferred to the torch lamp, which will be kept until the day of the opening ceremony of the event. The flame, ignited in the Shangshan Archaeological Site Park in Pujiang county of Jinhua, is expected to light the main torch tower of the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province.
The total torch relay was participated in by 363 torchbearers in the seven stops of Lanxi, Yiwu, Dongyang, Pan'an, Yongkang, Wuyi and Jinhua's urban area. The route was planned meticulously to show the beautiful landscapes and historical culture of Jinhua, and to enhance people's good wishes for the city.
The provincial Games of Zhejiang are the largest sporting event in the province and are held every four years.
This year, about 15,000 athletes from across Zhejiang are competing. The event features 910 disciplines from 34 sports, with 1,076 gold medals up for grabs.
