The mountain cycling competitions of the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province kicked off in Mountain Bike Park in Matang village, Yushan town, Pan'an county, Jinhua, on Sept 13.
A total of 47 young athletes on nine teams from Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Huzhou and other cities in Zhejiang provinces participated in the competitions.
This is the first time the Games of Zhejiang Province have held mountain bike competitions, which are divided into men's and women's groups.

Pan'an Mountain Bike Park is located next to the Yushan Ancient Tea Farm, a national site protected for its historical and cultural value. Looking down from the peak, the views of the park integrate perfectly with the beautiful scenery of the mountains and rivers.
The competition venue is located on Mount Xuxun, which has complex terrain with various tea trees. The area is suitable for outdoor sports such as cross-country driving and cycling. Athletes raced over a 4.5 kilometer route.
In recent years, Pan'an has been working to develop sports and encourage more people to take part in daily exercise. The county also hosted chess and weightlifting competitions for the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province.
