Three companies based in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, made the 2022 list of the top 500 Chinese private enterprises. One was also included among the top 500 Chinese enterprises.
According to the report released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce on Sept 7, the top 500 private companies generated a combined revenue of 38.32 trillion yuan ($5.5 trillion) last year, an increase of 9.13 percent year-on-year.
The entry threshold for the ranking was 26.37 billion yuan in revenue, 2.87 billion yuan more than last year. Eighty-eight of the top 500 companies have assets exceeding 100 billion yuan each.
Zhejiang topped the nation for the 24th year in a row in terms of the number of listed companies, which stood at 107 this year.
Cement producer Hongshi Group moved up 16 spots to 348th on the list of the top 500 Chinese enterprises and 154th on the list of the top 500 Chinese private enterprises, with 65.53 billion yuan in revenue in 2021.
As one of the 12 national large-scale cement enterprises supported by the State, Hongshi Group also made the 2022 list of the top 100 Zhejiang-based private enterprises in research and development investment.
In addition, Huayuan Group and Zhejiang Yongjin Metal Technology Co ranked 331st and 373rd on the 2022 list of the top 500 Chinese private enterprises.
