Long Live the Soul by Yang Hao wins the Best Documentary Award at the 16th FIRST International Film Festival.

Long Live the Soul, made by Yang Hao, a postgraduate student who graduated from Zhejiang Normal University, recently won the Best Documentary Award at the 16th FIRST International Film Festival.

The documentary tells the story of short-video entrepreneurs represented by Brother Yuantou at Jiangbei Xiazhu in Yiwu, Zhejiang province. The location is known as China's "top livestreaming e-commerce village".

Yang said: "I was fortunate to have witnessed Brother Yuantou's most obsessive and passionate time and be able to film it."

Yang achieved recognition from industrial insiders and showed his gratitude for teachers and classmates at the Zhejiang Normal University who supported his work.

According to the festival's organizers, Yang's work presents the absurdity and vividness of the current era by showing a man's life in a normal place.

The FIRST International Film Festival is a domestic film festival service platform that focuses on discovering and promoting young filmmakers and their works.
