The torch relay of the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province will be held starting Aug 8, after the torch is lit in the Shangshan Archaeological Park in Pujiang county, Jinhua, according to the latest announcement from the games' working committee.
From Aug 8 to Sept 3, the torch will be relayed to eight stations in counties and cities of Jinhua. The stations are each 2 to 7.7 kilometers apart, totaling 26.5 km.
A total of 376 torchbearers will take part in the event by running and igniting the flames with each other.
The relay will cover roads and areas focused on history, culture and urban development in order to show the landscapes of the city.
The first station of the torch relay is Pujiang Station. The 2-km route will pass the Shangshan Archaeological Park, Jiuluo village, Fengjing Road and Puzheng Highway.
Following Pujiang county, the torch will be carried to Lanxi, Yiwu, Dongyang, Pan'an, Yongkang, Wuyi, and the downtown area of Jinhua.
