The local government of Jinhua has been providing "exhibition representative services" for foreign trade enterprises unable to take part in international fairs due to the COVID-19 epidemic, according to local media outlets.

The "exhibition representative service" refers to entrusting overseas branches of enterprises, business partners, overseas Chinese, and staff at the fair to receive visitors on behalf of real exhibitors. Workers from local enterprises can talk to visitors via the internet to introduce their products and make deals.

A total of 15 local enterprises in Jinhua enjoyed the "exhibition representative service" to participate in the 2022 India Home Decoration, Gifts and Household Products Fair in New Delhi, India, recently.

Their products included pet toys, fitness equipment, baby toys, packaging materials, and house-cleaning products, which were well received by local buyers in India.

Officials from the Jinhua bureau of commerce noted that more than 60 percent of the fees for a standard booth will be given to local enterprises participating in overseas trade fairs, as well as for those making use of the "exhibition representative service".

Representatives from local enterprises spoke highly of the service, which has helped revive their businesses in overseas markets affected by the epidemic.
