An economic matchmaking meeting between East China's Zhejiang province and Aksu prefecture in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region was held in Jinhua on July 4.

Aksu has a strong construction foundation to accelerate its development and favorable conditions for investment and business development, said Chen Haitao, deputy commander of Zhejiang's aid team headquarters in Xinjiang.

According to Chen, a one-stop comprehensive investment service center integrating policy consultation, project matchmaking, economic exchanges and cooperation, agreement signing, and a license agency was launched in Aksu on July 2, aiming to support investment and project landing for enterprises.

Gao Fan, deputy Party secretary of Wensu county, Aksu, encouraged Jinhua to invest in Wensu at the meeting. He said that Wensu is rich in minerals, agriculture and tourism attractions and provides favorable investment policies for enterprises.

During the meeting, agreements for three projects with a total investment of 2.95 billion yuan ($440.13 million) were signed between Jinhua and Wensu county.

The projects included a general solid waste and hazardous waste disposal and comprehensive utilization construction project in Wensu Industrial Park, a sports and tourism resort, and a tourism project carried out by various travel agencies in Jinhua to bring in hundreds of visitors to Aksu.
