The X9216 China-Europe freight train loaded with 100 twenty-foot equivalent unit containers of engineering materials set out from the East China International Intermodal Port, Jinhua for Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan at about 2 am on June 19, under the supervision of Jinhua Customs.

This marks the successful launch of a special train of the China-Europe freight train for the EPC project of the largest gas-fired power station in Central Asia.

The China-Europe freight train mainly focuses foreign investment and economic cooperation.

The special train contains goods worth about $4.16 million, including gas turbine metal steel structures, cooling towers and other gas power station equipment, which will go abroad from Horgos Port and arrive in Tashkent within 10 days, after traveling 6,327 kilometers.

The goods will be used for the construction of the largest gas power station in Central Asia - the 1,500-megawatt gas combined cycle independent power generation project in the Syr Darya in Uzbekistan.

The power generation project in Uzbekistan was undertaken by China Energy Construction Gezhouba International Company. It can provide more than 36 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to the local power grid every day.
