The Information Office of Jinhua Municipal People's Government held a press conference on the official website and WeChat account of the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province on June 8.
The official website of the event includes sections such as news center, photos and videos, and online provincial games, displaying sports and competition venues of this year's provincial games.
The homepage of the website was designed with the event's emblem and mascot, with a countdown board for the opening ceremony.
According to officials, the official website of the games is an important window for the information release of the 17th Provincial Games. It will work to provide the latest news and information related to the provincial event, promote the local culture of Jinhua, and provide service information to visitors and athletes.
In order to promote the event and encourage more people take part in sports, hundreds of sports activities for people of all ages, from children to the elderly, will be held in Jinhua this year.
The 17th Zhejiang Provincial Games will be held in July. The games are the largest comprehensive sports meet in the province and are held every four years. This is the first time a city in central or western Zhejiang has hosted a provincial sporting event.
The games will consist of 34 major sports events and 51 sub-events. This year's games will see 1,076 gold medals being handed out in 910 categories in 34 sports, and over 16,210 athletes from around the province will take part.
