Wuyi, one of the 26 mountain counties in East China's Zhejiang province, has pursued high-quality development by promoting industrial growth.
Wuyi equipment manufacturing industrial park is a high-level new industry platform in Lengshuikeng village, which was built to cluster a group of advanced equipment manufacturing projects. This year, it has introduced 26 projects, each with an investment of over 100 million yuan ($15.7 million).
In order to improve industrial efficiency, Wuyi cracked down on 163 inefficient enterprises from January to October this year. Over 62 hectares of land inefficiently used was redeveloped. The space vacated by the renovation of inefficiently used land was used by Cayi Vacuum Container Co Ltd, which promoted the enterprise to get listed on the ChiNext board this year.
In terms of improving services, Wuyi economic development area has simplified approval procedures for investment projects. Permits, such as project planning permits and construction permits, can be processed and approved within one working day.
From January to October, the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Wuyi reached 38.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.5 percent. Industrial investment reached 1.11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.1 percent, while manufacturing investment reached 1.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 33.5 percent.
In the future, Wuyi will strive to take the lead in industrial development among Zhejiang's 26 mountain counties.
