Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua, recently cooperated with Alibaba.com to launch 10 measures to help ease burdens on cross-border e-commerce enterprises brought about by the COVID-19 epidemic.

The measures are meant to help foreign-trade companies find business opportunities through digital exhibitions and livestreams with online shopping fairs. An integrated logistics solution is also being provided to ensure companies have access to logistics and customs declaration services.

Wang Haitao, director of Jinhua Haijie Import & Export Co, said his company got an order worth $170,000 through an online business promotion event on Alibaba.com.

Wang said that due to the impact of COVID-19, the company's workers have turned to online platforms to receive inquiries and orders. With help from the measures released by the Yongkang commerce bureau and Alibaba.com, they are receiving more overseas orders and are able to ship their products in a timely manner.

Furthermore, a total of 8,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit containers will be added for sea transport and over 20,000 railway lines will provide support for seven major ports in terms of customs declaration services.

Alibaba.com will also provide upgraded logistics and payment services for cross-border small- and medium-sized enterprises.
