Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province hosted a matchmaking conference to help enterprises find talent and solutions to their technical problems from universities and institutions on May 10.

During the event, Zhu Shengbin from Jinhua Oulun Catalysis Technology Co offered an award of 20 million yuan ($2.97 million) for talent who can use algorithms to make cars quieter by reducing the sound of engines and other noises in order to improve the driving experience.

After the roadshow, Zheng Xu, associate professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University, expressed interest in the project. Both sides reached an initial cooperation intention.

Focusing on common problems facing the transformation of traditional industries and the development of modern emerging and future industries, Jinhua released 100 key technical problems facing 10 industries, including automobiles, equipment manufacturing, and biomedicine. With rewards totaling over 1 billion yuan, local enterprises such as Hengdian Group DMEGC Magnetics Co and Apeloa Pharmaceutical Co are working to attract high-caliber talent teams.
