The first session of the 8th Jinhua Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) commenced on April 8 at the Jinhua Culture Center, local media outlets reported.
The three-day session, which runs from April 8 to 11, is being attended by over 400 members. They are set to review and summarize the work of the 7th CPPCC Jinhua Municipal Committee since 2017 and discuss the main work of the new CPPCC Jinhua Municipal Committee concerning the overall development situation and main tasks determined by the Jinhua Municipal Party Committee.
In addition, they will elect the 8th CPPCC Jinhua Municipal Committee leadership team and members of the Standing Committee, attend the first session of the 8th Jinhua Municipal People's Congress as non-voting delegates, and consult and discuss the government work report, other reports and the city's economic and social development plan.
