The number of individual industrial and commercial households registered in Jinhua, Zhejiang province had increased by 12.17 percent year-on-year to more than 1 million as of March 28, ranking first in the province, according to the local market supervision bureau.

Jinhua is the first city in Zhejiang to achieve this number.

Statistics from the local market supervision bureau also showed that Jinhua was home to 1.47 million registered market entities by March 28, ranking second in the province.

Among them, 56.61 percent of the registered individual industrial and commercial households are located in Yiwu, a county-level city of Jinhua.

Wholesale and retail businesses accounted for about 69 percent of the total, followed by manufacturing, accommodation and catering businesses.

In recent years, Jinhua has continued to optimize its business environment. It led the province in carrying out digital reforms to help businesspeople handle administrative procedures. About 1,500 new individual industrial and commercial entities are registered in Jinhua every day.

In order to promote the development of individual industrial and commercial entities, Jinhua launched a platform to provide them with services such as financing and training in August 2021. A total of 2,427 individual industrial and commercial households have done business via the platform so far, and the pre-credit amount has reached 1.06 billion yuan ($166.89 million).
