As the world's largest film and TV base, Hengdian World Studios in Dongyang, Jinhua, has been pursuing green development.

A total of nine out of 12 studios in Hengdian have been equipped with high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon cell photovoltaic modules. Covering an area of 44,191 square meters, the cell photovoltaic modules can generate 5.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity a year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 42,000 tons.

Qin Lyujiang, head of the studio of Zhejiang Hengdian World Studios Service Co, said the photovoltaic modules were built as part of promotional work by studios in Hengdian.

In addition, Hengdian has also established an intelligent management and control platform to control the air-conditioning switch and temperature of each studio intelligently, as well as monitor the use of water, electricity and fire-fighting equipment in an effort to reduce unnecessary consumption and maximize energy conservation.

Hengdian World Studios is home to over 1,500 enterprises involved in film and television, where about 75 percent of domestic movies and TV are made.
