Jinhua in Zhejiang province was mentioned in the provincial government work report delivered by Wang Hao, acting governor of Zhejiang province, during the sixth session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress on Jan 17.

The city's main achievements in 2021, including a 32 percent increase in China-Europe freight trains and the successful construction of the Jinhua-Taizhou Railway, were mentioned in the report.

In addition, the work report mentioned Jinhua when talking about the key tasks and work carried out in 2022.

In 2022, Jinhua will continue to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative to enhance the market competitiveness of the China-Europe freight trains and strive to become the center for China-Europe freight trains in the Yangtze River Delta.

To narrow the urban-rural development gap, Jinhua will ramp up efforts to accelerate the construction of the Yiwu-Ningbo-Zhoushan corridor to improve the comprehensive transportation network, and about 260 kilometers of railways will be added.

To create a competitive environment, co-host cities such as Jinhua will also focus on the Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games in Hangzhou and strengthen cooperation with Hangzhou.
