Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province will offer 300 million yuan ($47.23 million) worth of consumption coupons for automobiles and home appliances to its residents from Jan 20 to Mar 19.
Consumers who purchase vehicles priced at more than 30,000 yuan from automobile sales corporations above designated size in Jinhua can receive a subsidy ranging from 3,000 yuan to 100,000 yuan depending on the price of the vehicle. These subsidies will not apply to agencies and enterprises.
Each buyer can only redeem one consumption coupon during the preferential period.
For home appliances, consumers can use the 100-yuan coupons when the purchase amount is at least 1,000 yuan. A 200-yuan coupon can be used for purchases amounting to 2,000 yuan and more, while the 500-yuan coupon only applies to purchases of 5,000 yuan and above. These coupons can be used to purchase mobile phones.
