The Jinhua Light Resort in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, was designated a national 4A-level scenic spot by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, becoming the first cultural venue in China to win the honor, local media reported on Jan 7.

The Jinhua Light Resort is a large-scale comprehensive cultural complex integrating urban exhibitions, science and technology promotion, youth entertainment and education and public leisure.
The resort won the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National Prime-quality Project) in 2020, the highest award for national prime-quality projects.
According to the requirements for establishing national 4A level scenic spots, Jinhua Light Resort has continuously improved supporting services by adding movie and TV rooms, baby care rooms, medical service rooms, complaint rooms and tour guide lounges.
The resort now boasts complete supporting facilities such as parking and catering and numerous popular science and cultural activities for edutainment purposes.
The Jinhua Light Resort is currently building itself into a digital tourism scenic spot and is optimizing operation, membership, parking and tours.
