The laboratory is equipped with 100 pieces of PCR (polymerase chain reaction) detection equipment which can process 100,000 tubes in 24 hours. The laboratory is able to complete nucleic acid tests for a million people every day under batch testing, which involves using 10 samples for a single test.

The laboratory consists of six enclosed tents, including a sample retrieval area, a reagent preparation area, a nucleic acid extraction area and an analysis area.

The mobile rapid diagnostics laboratory will mainly be used for large-scale nucleic acid testing in Yongkang and can operate continuously for 24 hours, thus greatly improving the efficiency of nucleic acid testing.
