Sept 10 marks the one-year countdown to the opening of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 – to be staged on Sept 10-25 next year in Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang province.

Jinhua, a prefecture-level city in Zhejiang and one of the five co-host cities of the Games, is steadily advancing its preparations.

The Hangzhou Asian Games has designated three types of venues – competition venues, training venues and non-competition venues.

There are 55 individual competition venues, 31 training venues, five Asian Games Village and sub-villages for the Games in the province.

There are three competition venues in Jinhua – namely the Jinhua Sports Centre Gymnasium, Jinhua Sports Centre Stadium and the Zhejiang Normal University East Stadium. All have already been completed and passed official acceptance.

The city has four training venues, including the Jinhua Sports School Football Pitch, Jinhua No 1 High School Football Pitch, Jinhua Aiqing High School Football Pitch and the Jinhua Sports Centre Football Pitch. At present, the Jinhua Sports School Football Pitch is close to completion, while construction has begun on the other three football training fields and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

There are three local non-competition venues – namely the athlete's sub-village, the Wanda Realm Jinhua which will be a media hotel and the Jinhua Marriott Hotel, to be reserved for technical officials.

To date, the athlete's village has been fully completed and passed official acceptance of the main structure. The newly built Marriott Hotel has completed its acceptance and entered the trial operations stage.
