Nanxiang lakeside trail offers cool summer escape

A lakeside trail in Nanxiang, Jiading district, Shanghai, connects the Water Ecology Park, Liuyun Lake, and Yinxiang Lake, offering shaded boardwalks, lotus ponds, and a refreshing breeze.

The Water Ecology Park, on Nanxiang's northern edge, features a riverside boardwalk flanked by metasequoia and reeds, with cool crosswinds and white geese on the water. Liuyun Lake, set in a residential area, is now covered in blooming lotuses, with a flat trail for walking and cycling and shaded benches. Yinxiang Lake offers open green space and a kayaking program that lets visitors paddle through the lotus ponds.
