Share your Shanghai story with us

The iShanghai column is calling on the international community to share their stories of the city through its "My Shanghai Story" campaign. Articles and short video submissions are now being accepted.
Whether you have studied, worked, lived, or simply traveled in Shanghai, we'd love to hear your story. From longtime residents to short-term visitors, every perspective is welcome.
It could be a life-changing experience, a special friendship, a favorite place, an unexpected adventure, a funny encounter, or a moment that made you feel at home. If it moved you, surprised you or changed you, it's worth sharing.

Requirements for submissions:
•Articles with Photos:
Length: 150 to 1,000 words
Photos: 1-5 photos in JPG or PNG formats, each with a brief caption
•Videos:
Content: Scenes of Shanghai, personal memories, or reflections on the city
Format: MP4
Dimensions: horizontal: 16:9, vertical: 9:16
Size and Length: 1GB maximum, up to 5 minutes.
Caption: 50-150 English words for a brief introduction.

NOTE: Larger video files may be submitted via email with links to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.
Publication Details:
Selected submissions will be published on the iShanghai website column. Outstanding entries will be translated into Chinese and published on "国传故事荟" WeChat account, and may also be recommended to other official English-language platforms and social media channels in Shanghai.
