WorldSkills Museum reopens after comprehensive upgrade

The WorldSkills Museum in Shanghai's Yangpu district has reopened after a comprehensive upgrade, offering a new look, enhanced digital services, a special exhibition on white porcelain, and hands-on WorldSkills experiences for visitors.

The renovation work has not only upgraded the exhibits and equipment throughout the museum, but has also improved its indoor and outdoor public spaces.

Meanwhile, visitors can now use the museum's website to keep up with the latest exhibitions, explore stories behind its collections, or take a panoramic virtual tour of the building.

An exhibition that revolves around white porcelain is underway at the museum through October, presenting more than 100 works by skilled craftspeople. Three of the pieces have been made especially for the upcoming WorldSkills Shanghai competition.

Moreover, the museum has introduced a new interactive area, where visitors can watch demonstrations and experience activities inspired by the WorldSkills competitions. The first four experiences cover pâtisserie and confectionery, floristry, mechatronics and ICT network infrastructure, with more to follow.
