According to Merlin Entertainments, the resort's operator, Legoland Shanghai Resort welcomed more than 20 million visitors in its first year. It was also the fastest LEGOLAND park worldwide to reach 2 million visitors and recorded the highest first-year visitor growth among all LEGOLAND destinations globally.

The resort's annual pass sales exceeded expectations, while repeat visits continued to increase, reflecting the park's long-term appeal to families. Visitors from outside the Yangtze River Delta, including Beijing, Guangdong, and Shandong, also accounted for a growing share of attendance.

Family visitors make up more than 80 percent of the resort's guests. Since opening, nearly 60,000 children have celebrated their birthdays at the park. Through creative workshops and hands-on activities grounded in the LEGO "learning through play" philosophy, the resort has hosted more than 8,000 themed programs, with over 170,000 participants.

As China's first LEGOLAND resort, the park blends LEGO creativity with Chinese cultural elements, including the world's only LEGO Monkie Kid-themed area.

Located in Shanghai's Jinshan district, the resort has also contributed to local tourism and employment by supporting nearby hotels, restaurants, and other businesses and by strengthening the district's family tourism offerings.
