The 2026 New Quality Productive Forces Investment, Mergers & Acquisitions, and International Sci-Tech Innovation Matchmaking Conference was held at the Changning District Library in Shanghai on June 23, bringing together nearly 70 investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, and business representatives.

The event showcased Changning's investment advantages, including its prime location, supportive policies, strong industrial base, and business-friendly environment. Officials also introduced new opportunities in the district's innovation sector, encouraging multinational innovation projects and overseas-funded companies to establish a presence in Changning.

During the event, two investment firms signed cooperation agreements with the Changning District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The partnerships aim to attract premium technology projects from China and abroad while supporting business incubation and industrial development.

Experts from China and overseas shared insights on international innovation, technology commercialization, and investment. Speakers included representatives from BASF, Adani Energy, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as local investment and technology companies. They discussed cross-border innovation, AI-powered healthcare, venture capital, and M&As.

The conference also featured policy consultation booths, providing information on talent recruitment, investment incentives, M&A support, and technology financing.
