Dopamine Carbs Burger Festival serves up summer flavor

In Fengpu subdistrict, Fengxian district, Shanghai, the four-day inaugural burger festival concluded on June 21 at Fengxian Baolong Plaza. Since opening on June 18, the event has gathered handmade burger brands from across the nation, attracting large crowds of food lovers and creating a vibrant summer street food atmosphere in the commercial complex.

The festival brought together burger vendors from Xiamen, Ningbo, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Hangzhou, and other regions, featuring creative products such as cartoon-shaped burgers, foie gras and Wagyu beef burgers, caramel pineapple burgers, and waterfall cheese burgers, catering to a wide range of tastes.

According to Fengxian Baolong Plaza Deputy General Manager Zhang Jing, the event hosted 40 merchants and 40 booths, significantly boosting mall traffic and consumption. During the period, daily peak footfall exceeded 90,000 visits, with visitor numbers up 50 percent year-on-year and sales rising 40 percent year-on-year.

The festival offered residents a one-stop tasting experience of handmade burgers from across China, becoming a new summer leisure destination.
