12th CSITF sets new records for deals and participation

The 2026 China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF) set multiple records, including more than 1,000 first-time exhibitors and over 600 intended deals, both the highest figures in the event's history.

The fair attracted more than 54,000 visitors, with professional visitors accounting for over 85 percent of attendees.

This year's event featured guest cities from China and overseas. Lausanne in Switzerland, and five cities from Scotland showcased innovations in areas such as smart healthcare, energy, and education, generating 44 cooperation intentions. Domestic guest cities Dalian and Nanjing presented advanced technologies in manufacturing, clean energy, and intelligent equipment.

A newly established international exhibition area brought together 26 overseas trade and investment organizations, resulting in 102 cooperation intentions with Chinese companies.

The fair also hosted 116 business matchmaking sessions, generating potential deals valued at 236 million yuan ($34.9 million). Nearly 200 technology managers provided services to more than 800 companies.

In addition, the CSITF Tech-Transfer Center released more than 3,500 innovation projects and 605 enterprise demands, facilitating intended deals worth nearly 1.7 billion yuan.

By linking technology exhibitions with nearby retail, dining, and hospitality venues, the event attracted more than 340,000 consumer visits.
