Australia ARB Group opens its first Chinese company in Changning

Australian off-road vehicle accessories manufacturer ARB Group officially launched its first company in China in Shanghai's Changning district on May 11. Liu Ping, deputy secretary and district mayor, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Liu Ping said ARB's entry represents a complementary, mutually beneficial partnership. A delegation visited ARB's Australian headquarters last October to discuss cooperation and shared development. Seven months of continuous follow-up ensured the successful establishment of ARB's first China entity.

The district hopes ARB China will leverage its design, research, and sales strengths, integrate into the local market, and evolve into a globally connected yet locally rooted multinational, expanding ARB's presence across China.

Changning is one of Shanghai's most international and open districts, hosting half of the city's diplomatic residences, a third of its consulates, a quarter of its international schools, one-fifth of its expatriates, and nearly 6,500 foreign enterprises.

Consul General and Deputy Consul General of Australia in Shanghai, along with representatives from the Australian Chamber of Commerce, attended the ceremony, highlighting bilateral engagement and support for ARB's local development and regional expansion plans.

Founded in 1975, ARB Group emphasizes innovation and quality. The company operates a full value chain covering research, design, manufacturing, and global distribution, with 66 retail stores, two core production bases, and a business network spanning five continents.
