Shanghai Cruise Port Sailing Regatta concludes on May 10

The 2026 Shanghai Cruise Port Sailing Regatta concluded on May 10 in Shanghai's Baoshan district, with the 1600-meter-long wharf line at Wusongkou witnessing a spectacular display of sailing prowess.

Over two days of intense competitions, more than 100 sailors from China, Malaysia, Japan, Russia, Singapore, and other countries and regions formed 20 formidable teams to compete in the expansive waters of Wusongkou Cruise Port. This event contributed another golden chapter to China's sailing legacy in this harbor of maritime dreams.

At the award ceremony, Chief Judge Zhang Yeming announced the results. The Shanghai Sailing Association Team emerged as the champions, followed by China Ningbo No 1 Sailing Team as the runners-up, and the GEA Sailing Future Team, representing the Global Education Alliance Sailing League, secured third place.

This year's event continued to embrace the innovative "sports + cultural tourism" model, transforming the professional competition stage into a carnival for everyone. Spectators enjoyed thrilling water performances, including flyboarding, as well as fast-paced Deep Sea boxing matches. The event also featured youth boat model workshops, 1/24 off-road climbing car demonstrations, knot art experiences, waterfront fashion shows and dynamic cultural performances, providing attendees with a rich combination of entertainment and hands-on experiences.

The Shanghai Cruise Port International Sailing Regatta, a cornerstone in Baoshan since 2019, drives ongoing progress in the integration of sailing sports with the cruise economy and the cultural tourism industry.
