Shanghai's Jing'an district has unveiled two dog-friendly routes that let visitors explore the city's art scene, riverside views and open green spaces with their furry friends in tow.

At the Jing'an International Flower Show, a floral sculpture of a "scruffy puppy" nestled among blooming flowers has become a beloved highlight, offering a healing moment with its chill charm and gentle floral fragrance.

The Suzhou Creek route at MixC World features a pet-friendly commercial block where dogs are welcome indoors. The area offers pet supply stores, pet-friendly restaurants, and even dedicated pet elevators. Nearby, Shenyuli Ground Park provides a spacious lawn where four-legged friends can run off-leash in what becomes a scene of peak liveliness in the late afternoon.

The Fotografiska art center welcomes pets to join their owners for exhibitions, while the GOLiLi cafe offers a cozy human-pet co-dining environment for a relaxing afternoon.

A second route near Jing'an Temple features an open lawn just minutes away from the temple, perfect for a quick outdoor escape. A banana-shaped dog sculpture at the Rotating Tower sunken plaza offers a playful photo opportunity alongside a vertical greenery staircase. The route also meanders through trendy shops in a retro-industrial complex, where fashion brands, garden restaurants and occasional pet markets await.
