5-meter-tall mascot 'Orange Baby' debuts on Changxing Island

This spring, a five-meter-tall mascot named "Orange Baby" has been installed at the Island Gathering Cultural Space in Panshi Village on Changxing Island, becoming an instant hit on social media.

As the official brand ambassador of Changxing town, launched in 2025, Orange Baby draws inspiration from the island's renowned citrus industry. Its cute and lively image embodies the unique charm of Changxing Island.

More than a photo spot, the Island Gathering Cultural Space is a multifunctional venue featuring a cafe, a public library extension, a cultural and creative product store and event planning services, blending nature, culture and commerce.

Visitors can take photo opportunities, relax in the cafe and reading area, experience intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, browse the creative market, and participate in low-carbon environmental activities.

A special "May Day Labor Market" event will be held during the upcoming holiday. Take advantage of the holiday to bring family and friends to take photos, taste the island coffee, and feel the vitality of rural revitalization.

The venue is located in Panshi village, Changxing town, Chongming district, about eight kilometers from the G40 Expressway Changxing Island exit. It is recommended to wear brightly colored clothing for better photos.
