Jinshan City Beach fireworks show returns
The 2026 Shanghai Jinshan City Beach International Music Fireworks Show is set to light up the coastal venue on May 2 and 4, with tickets already on sale for the holiday event.

This year's show has received a major technical upgrade. Organizers reported that the largest fireworks shell in eastern China is poised to be introduced, creating a display that stretches nearly 300 meters across the sky.
The fireworks are set to be synchronized with a professional sound system, and the seaside setting is expected to give spectators a more immersive music-and-light experience along the beach promenade and over the water.

During the May Day holiday, Jinshan City Beach will also host a four-day market with food, drinks, shopping and family-friendly activities, giving visitors more reasons to stay through the evening.
To make planning easier, organizers are also selling bundled tickets with hotels and homestays, giving travelers a simple way to combine the show with an overnight stay on the coast.
The beach is one of Shanghai's best-known seaside attractions, about an hour's drive from downtown Shanghai, with beach sports, camping and dining options that make it a draw for local and out-of-town visitors.
