ERAUM super factory in Shanghai nears completion
Shanghai ERAUM Alloy Co Ltd has completed the main construction of its 1.2-billion-yuan ($175 million) super factory in Fengjing town in Jinshan district. Full production is expected by August or September, with an annual capacity of 20,000 metric tons of high-end alloys.

The smart green industrial base is now commissioning core equipment, including a 5,000-ton fast forging press. The press can precision-forge complex superalloy blanks for aerospace and nuclear applications.
Other key machinery being debugged includes a vacuum induction furnace, a vacuum arc remelting furnace and an electroslag furnace under a protective atmosphere. All are vital for nickel-based superalloy production.
At full capacity, the plant's annual output value is estimated between 8 billion and 10 billion yuan. The facility will significantly boost China's domestic supply of specialty alloys for strategic sectors.

ERAUM recently passed the acceptance of the nuclear-grade forging project by the China Institute of Atomic Energy. This milestone paves the way for supplying alloys to Hualong One and Guohe One nuclear reactors.
