US students experience Chinese culture at Songjiang heritage sites

A group of 20 students and teachers from the United Nations International School visited Songjiang district in Shanghai on April 6, exploring Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park and Du's Carved Flower Building to experience Chinese culture.
At Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park, the group toured the Guangfulin Ancient Pottery Art Museum and the Wood Art Exhibition Hall, where relics and carvings showcased ancient Chinese craftsmanship and daily life wisdom across thousands of years.
Student Emilia Aznar Hagl said she appreciated the exhibits' originality, noting they were minimally processed, while Eleonora Weinheimer highlighted Shanghai's modernity alongside preserved historic architecture and cultural depth during the visit.
Students also visited the Guangfulin Cultural Exhibition Hall, a water-based museum featuring immersive displays that trace Shanghai's evolution from ancient settlement to modern metropolis, impressing visitors with its innovative design and rich cultural storytelling.
At Du's Carved Flower Building in Cangcheng historical district, students experienced traditional Jiangnan residential architecture. According to local authorities, Songjiang will continue to enhance inbound tourism services and promote international cultural exchange.
