Songjiang receives 651,900 visits during Qingming Festival holiday
During the Qingming Festival holiday, the tourism market in Shanghai's Songjiang district flourished, receiving 651,900 visits, a 9 percent year-on-year increase. Sheshan National Tourist Resort was the key contributor, drawing 391,700 tourists.
Popular attractions included the cherry blossom season at Chenshan Botanical Garden and the bamboo shoot cultural festival at Sheshan National Forest Park, both of which saw heavy visitor traffic. Chenshan Botanical Garden alone saw up to 75,500 visits in a single day.

Shanghai Pujiang Zhishou Scenic Area offered a variety of activities, including outdoor camping and handicraft experiences. It became a popular destination for short trips from nearby areas, enhancing rural tourism.
Shanghai Happy Valley's National Trend Cultural Festival engaged young visitors with immersive performances, while Sijing Ancient Town was revitalized by its Twelve Flower Gods Lanterns and traditional opera, attracting large crowds.
Jegoplay Too Pancoat Park's family-friendly activities also attracted significant attention, further enhancing the area's appeal as a destination for family outings during the holiday.

Cultural events, such as exhibitions at Songjiang Museum, enriched the holiday experience. Local communities organized operas, craft classes, and other cultural activities, allowing visitors to experience Songjiang's deep cultural heritage.

The tourism market's success was clearly reflected in the accommodation sector. Hotel occupancy rates increased by 14.41 percent year-on-year, with Sheshan resort seeing over 69.62 percent occupancy. The growing trend towards "deep travel" further boosted overall consumer spending.
